Pearl The Cat. Meet Pearl, one half of the double act the Harvey’s adopted from their local Cats Protection League. The girls had been abandoned in a rental property when the tenants moved out and were up for adoption as a pair. Pearl was as black as soot when she was rescued. Contrary to the caption I’ve chosen Pearl is actually a bit neurotic and finds it hard to relax. She is a mouser, an explorer and an adventurer. Pearl patrols her area and brings the family lots of furry presents. Then she settles down to sleep, and sleep … and sleep – but always with one eye open, forever on guard. Sylvie, Pearl’s companion, on the other hand is a big softie who loves to stretch. She thinks the Harvey’s two daughters are her kittens and is always trying to look after them. Rescuing the pair was a decision Bel never regrets and the whole family love them to bits.
