Katherine Brown has rescued greyhounds for over a decade. And they’ve all been black with white chests as apparently these are the ones rescues centres find hardest to rehome. When her oldest boy passed away, Katherine was left with an incredibly nervous, shy girl called Mabel. She knew Mabel would need another canine companion to help her along the way. Dawn applied for the position. She entered the house and straight away settled down on the sofa and proceeded to snooze her way through the loudest thunder and lightening storm. The vacancy was filled and she was renamed after that tumultuous night. Storm adores fuss and spinning in grass is her most favourite thing. She can turn a full 360 without touching the ground! Although she had obviously experienced a tough life as a racing dog and took a while to relax, she is now thoroughly enjoying her retirement. And quite rightly so!
