In loving memory of Gizmo, the most charismatic “talkative” cat anyone could wish for Gizmo, aka “Don Gizmo”, was a local legend with the ladies and named after the character from the film The Gremlins, due to a striking resemblance as a kitten. He had a challenging life to say the least, having been run over when he was younger (presumably by a dustbin truck, judging by his petrified reactions on bin day). Somehow he managed to drag himself home and his strength of character (and some amazing work from the vet) saved him – but he lost one of his back legs. This disability never stopped him enjoying life to the full. Champion mouser & lover, Gizmo made scaling a 6ft fence look easy. Gizmo was definitely King of his Castle but despite revelling in his royal status he would always make his own bed each morning. The Don took things a little more sedately in his later years, thoroughly enjoying the pampered lifestyle a cat of his status deserved. Rest in peace, dear Gizmo.
