Meet Alan. He lives with November’s Vera and is the complete opposite in character. A stray who took to regularly turning up at Johanna’s door, he was in pretty bad shape and had a nasty exhaust pipe burn on his head. Johanna gained his trust and after having him checked and treated at the Vets, he moved in permanently. Far from being a big old tomcat with fighting wounds, Alan is the sweetest, most gentle boy, who spooks easily but now adores all the comforts of a loving home. He has an extremely loud purr yet an incredibly small meow. Alan truly loves his rescuer. When her husband leaves for an early 2am shift, Alan will instantly appear on the bed and gently stroke Johanna’s face with his paw just so he can have a cuddle and snuggle.
