About the Muse

Flynn entered Amy’s life when she was working for the Scottish SPCA. History unknown, underweight, worried, and with damage to his right ear, his faith in humanity was at an all-time low. Amy had begun a career in dog training, and trying to understand Flynn fuelled her passion, drove her studies, and constantly humbled her when she quickly realised one approach does not fit all. Amy’s challenge was to learn from Flynn, and Flynn’s challenge was to trust in Amy.

A sweet, sensitive soul, Flynn’s character is calm; he’s more like a greyhound wrapped in a border collie fur coat. He has zero interest in training or ball games, much preferring lazy snoozes and long, slow walks so he can sniff every blade of grass, twig, and bush. It has taken time and patience to win Flynn’s trust, and that trust may always be fragile, but already he has rewarded Amy with knowledge and genuine affection. For Amy, the wins far outweigh the wait.
