About the Muse

When Lauren and Harry saw Woody’s cheery face on the rehoming page for Dogs Trust Cardiff, they absolutely knew he was the dog for them. This gorgeous twelve-year-old terrier cross was simply looking for some love in his golden years after his owner had sadly passed away. Bereavement and change are tough for anyone and Woody was no exception. Separation anxiety meant he needed lots of support to settle if Lauren and Harry went out. To monitor this, they installed cameras so they could watch him on their phones and gradually increased the time they left him alone, starting at just one minute. Thanks to their patience ( sitting outside in the car! ) he is now much more comfortable with being home alone. Being an old man, sleep rates highly on Woody’s daily ‘to-do’ list, then maybe a spot of sun-puddling and perhaps some more sleep. In between the snoozing, he’ll squeeze in a gentle stroll. Beach days, National Trust day trips and visiting the Grandparents ( for a roll on their rug! ) are also highly enjoyable. Woody’s Gotcha Day is coincidently Lauren’s birthday. He has been the best non-present she could ever have imagined, his furry companionship the ultimate gift that keeps on giving.
